A lesson in human nature...
My son goes on to Raz Kids, which is a learning website promoted by, and made available by his school. It allows him to read books and move up levels. While there are other subjects and metrics it is meant to be fun and help children improve. We also promised our son if he got up to a certain reading level he would be rewarded with a toy.
So one day he is sitting there and I watch him start a new book, skip to the end, take the assessment, fail it, note the right answers, retake it, and then pass. I was 1. astonished, 2. a little impressed, and 3. mad that he didn't do the work. I let him know it was unacceptable and made him read me the book and retake the test.

Fast forward to work. I overheard an employee talk to another employee about taking our corporate training. This person said, "I click next to the end, take the test a few times and move on." I could not help but think of my son and shake my head.
I guess things don't really change, no matter how old you are.
