This beautiful girl is Adele. She is four years old, is super smart, and is one of the joys of my life.
This evening I was laying on my bed. To be precise I was curled up on my side on the far left side of the bed. My wife was on the other side on her back watching a show on her phone with Zoe on her left. Adele wanted up so she went on my left, my wife's right.
Adele is still sucking her thumb. We per our doctor we continually encourage her not to. My wife decided to tease her and put her hand over Adele's mouth. She said jokingly that instead of trying to stop the thumb, we should just plug up the mouth. My daughter then licked my wife's hand vigorously. My wife quickly removed her hand and Adele laughed out loud.
With out missing a beat my wife said, "oh man Adele! I just used that hand to scratch my bum!"
Then my wife was laughing and Adele was yelling, "Ew Ew Ew" While she did that she flailed around and like a horse, did a back kick and nailed me in the family jewels.
I cried.
Needless to say, remember. When you go to bed you may need protection :-)
